The process

From first text to finished work.

No surprises, no guesswork. Here’s exactly how a typical project goes, step by step, from the moment you reach out to long after I’ve packed up.

In short

What happens next

  1. I get back to you quickly to say hi and set up a visit.
  2. We do an on-site visit, you see samples in your own light, and you name the one thing that would make this job a win for you.
  3. After the visit, you get one clear, fixed written price.
  1. Reach out

    You call or text

Send a call, a text, or the short form on my site. Just your name, number and one line about the project is plenty.

  2. Reach out

I get back to you fast

I reply personally to say hi, ask a couple of questions, and set up a time to visit. [NOAH CONFIRM: typical reply time, e.g. same day]

    You deal with me directly
  3. Plan

    Your free estimate

Based on what you tell me (and any photos you send), I give you a free estimate: an honest ballpark so you know whether the project fits your plans. An estimate is a guide, not a fixed price.

    FreeNo obligation
  4. Plan

    We meet in your home

I walk through the space with you, look closely at the surfaces, and bring real colour and sheen samples so you can see them in your own light. This is also where you name the one thing that would make this job a success for you.

  5. Plan

    Your written, fixed quote

After the visit you get one clear, all-in price for the whole job, in writing, with your Name It item written on it. The quote is free, and the price I quote is the price you pay.

    FreeFixedIn writing
  6. Begin

    A signed condition report

Before any work begins, we walk through and document the condition of the space together, and we both sign it. Everyone starts on the same page.

  7. The work

    Careful prep, then the finish

Furniture and floors protected, careful hand prep, quality materials, and two full coats where paint is involved. I keep the site tidy as I go and clean up spotlessly at the end. [NOAH CONFIRM: how you schedule work days and hours]

  8. Finish

    A documented handover

We walk through the finished work together against the condition report and your Name It item. You get a finish care kit with labelled touch-up paint and care notes.

  9. After

    Guarantee and aftercare

Your work is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship (normal wear excluded), with my lifetime commitment to every surface I refinish. Optional Scratch, Chip, and Ding Damage Coverage is available for one flat fee.

Your standard, my word.

The Name It Promise

At the visit, you tell me the one thing that matters most to you. I write it down, and it becomes the standard I hold myself to. Read the full promise →
